Your Vote Is Your Voice. Make It Count! Voting is more than a right. It is a civic duty, a responsibility, and one of the most powerful ways we participate in our democracy. Midterm elections matter. The people we elect to Congress, our state legislature, and local offices make decisions that affect our everyday lives—from the cost of living and access to healthcare to public education, Social Security, Medicare, and the freedoms we cherish. Democracy is not something we inherit and simply take for granted. It requires our participation, our attention, and our willingness to stand up and be counted. Generations of Americans fought, marched, sacrificed, and even died to secure the right to vote. We honor their courage not simply with words, but by exercising the rights they worked so hard to protect. This election is too important to sit out. You may feel frustrated with politics. You may believe your one vote won’t make a difference. But elections are decided by the people who show up, and every ballot is an opportunity to help shape not only our country’s future but what happens in Florida. Make sure that you vote for the down ballot candidates. We need people in Tallahassee that are willing to work to lower costs, protect our environment, and not sell us out to the highest bidder. We have a responsibility not only to ourselves, but to our children, our grandchildren, and the generations who will inherit the decisions we make today. Time is running out. If you have a VBM ballot do not mail it! Instead bring it to an early voting location and drop it in the secured ballot box. Early voting locations are open from 9 am til 6 pm. Election Day is November 3. Polling locations are open from 7 am til 7 pm. Please, don’t leave your voice unheard. Make a plan, cast your ballot, and remind your friends and family to do the same. Voting is our right. Participating is our duty. Democracy is our responsibility. Your country needs your voice. VOTE! In Solidarity, Jane Schlechtweg |
