Letter from the Chair
Next month we will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. We are reminded that democracy is not something we inherit automatically — it is something we strengthen through participation, service, leadership, and support from our community.
As Floridians, we know we deserve better. And with leadership willing to focus on improving the lives of the people who live and work in our community, we can do better. We need leaders who will protect public education, address affordability, support smart growth, strengthen infrastructure, and ensure every voice is heard.
That is why this election matters.
We are still urgently seeking qualified, community-minded candidates to step forward and run for local office, including County Commission Districts 2 and 4 and School Board District 3. These positions directly shape the future of Collier County and the quality of life for our families and neighborhoods. The qualifying deadline is Friday, June 12 at noon.
But it takes more than volunteers to support candidates and build successful campaigns. While we are deeply grateful for everyone who gives their time and energy, we also rely on financial support from voters here in Collier County to keep our headquarters open and continue our mission of electing Democrats.
I want to extend a special thank-you to the Democratic Women’s Club of Marco for sponsoring our recent fundraising event. Their support helped make the event a success. But we need more people to step up and help keep our doors open so we can continue supporting Democratic candidates in both the August Primary and the General Election.
Please consider making a contribution. Whether it’s a one-time donation or ongoing monthly support, every dollar helps us continue organizing, supporting candidates, and reaching voters throughout Collier County.
You can also make a difference by ensuring your own voice is heard. Take a few minutes to check your voter registration and enroll or re-enroll in Vote-by-Mail before the August 6 deadline for the August 18 Primary Election. Vote-by-Mail is safe, secure, and an easy way to make sure your vote counts. Visit www.CollierVotes.gov for more information, to check your registration, and to enroll in Vote-by-Mail.
Democracy works best when people step up, get involved, and help build the community they want to see. This is our moment to do exactly that.

VOTER PROTECTION VOLUNTEERS – URGENTLY NEEDED
Protect the Vote—Volunteer Today
We need volunteers to serve as poll watchers and poll greeters during early voting and on Election Day.
Joining the Voter Protection Team is one of the most meaningful ways to safeguard our democracy. It’s about ensuring every eligible voter can cast their ballot freely, safely, and with confidence it will be counted.
Poll greeters welcome voters and create a calm, positive environment. Poll watchers are trained to observe the process and ensure everything runs fairly and correctly.
No experience is needed—training is provided. Whether you can give a few hours or a full day, your presence makes a real difference.
Step up. Protect the vote. Ensure every voice is heard.
