LISTING OF VOLUNTEER TEAMS AND THEIR MISSION

VOTER FACING TEAMS

CANVASSING & VOTER REGISTRATION TEAM

Works with experienced leaders to canvass targeted residents and voters by going door to door to contact existing voters and new voters helping them to register to vote or helping them to enroll for Vote–by–Mail. For these activities it targets high potential precincts and neighborhoods with information provided by the Data Team and accessible by using mobile data applications (MINI-VAN) available through their cell phones. In their contact with voters, volunteers  also: 1) update voter information into our database of voters via our mobile applications, 2) distribute voting guides on candidates and issues (slate cards), 3) inform them of the latest Democratic Party initiatives and 4) provide information, prepared by the Communications Committee, on key issues of citizens of Collier County. KEY ROLES: Canvasser Organizer, Canvasser, Community Networking

EVENTS TEAM

Develops and implements plan for participation in community events with the goal of increasing the visibility in the community of the Colier County Democratic Party and provide voter outreach initiatives. Participation in events includes: 1) having tables for Voter Registration and distribution of information briefs on key issues, 2) involvement in local parades and festivals, 3) exhibits in local farmers markets and special events.

KEY ROLES: Event Planning and Organizing, Project Management, Communications Management

FUNDRAISING TEAM

Develop a fundraising plan for the 2026 Election Campaign and organize and conduct supporting activities.  Key elements include build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors. Organize plans for: 1) special events, 2) special campaigns (by mail or phone), and 3) networking with important potential donors to raise needed funds for general or special purposes. Learn and comply with election finance laws. Provides periodic reports to the senior officers of the CCDEC and the Campaign Committee. KEY ROLES: Community networking. Experience and interest to organize donation campaigns including special community events for fundraising

MEET & GREET TEAM

Organize Meet and Greet Events in private events (homes, clubs) with the goals to: 1) increase the visibility of the Democratic Party, 2) inform voters of the latest Democratic Party initiatives, 3) provide information, prepared by the Communications Committee, on key issues to the community and Collier County 4) encourage voter registration, particularly Vote-by-Mail,  5) recruit volunteers and 6) encourage donations. CAMPAIGN TEAM

Develops and manages the Plan for the 2026 Election Campaign. Organizes the action plan calendar, coordinates the tasks of the various committees of the Collier Dems, and manages the expenses under the approved campaign budget. It provides periodic reports to the senior officers of the CCDEC and coordinates activities with the Florida Democratic Party, including the FDDP (Florida Data Director Council). KEY ROLES: Project Management

SUPPORT TEAMS

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

The Communications Team develops and executes the campaign’s messaging strategy across digital and traditional platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, radio, and print. The team researches key issues, produces clear and compelling information briefs for voters, and monitors community concerns to shape responsive monthly messaging plans. Volunteers play a vital role in amplifying outreach and engagement. This is an opportunity to apply your skills in digital media, storytelling, or community engagement to make a meaningful impact and expand the campaign’s reach. KEY ROLES: Managing and growing social media platforms, analyzing performance metrics, and creating videos, graphics, and shareable content. Team members also contribute to content development by researching current issues and writing effective messaging, while supporting design efforts for campaign materials and assisting in preparing concise briefs for canvassing teams.

DATA TEAM

Working with an extensive database of voters the team provides to the Canvassing Team, Fundraiser Team and the Meet & Greet Team, information on voters in target precincts and neighborhoods to assist in their targeting and calling on voters. The Team uses databases made available by the Florida Democratic Party and the national organization through their technology professionals and mobile applications. It also assists in producing special target lists of voters for email, phone and text campaigns as well as Voting Guides (Slate Cards) in both digital and print versions. KEY ROLES: Voter Data Management and Analysis, Special Target Reports Production, Project Management and Coordination with Other Committees

IT TEAM

This Team is responsible for the management and security of the IT financial management, donations and voter database applications and platform used by the CCDEC. It establishes policies and procedures for all IT related functions and is responsible for granting administrative rights to volunteer staff the senior management deems qualified and experienced to have such delegated responsibilities. It also conducts due diligence on IT third party providers to the CCDEC and provides training to volunteer staff of this committee. Among the systems managed are Votebuilder, MiniVan, Solidarity Tech. It also overseas technical periodic reporting to the Collier County SOE. KEY ROLES: IT Systems and Data Management and Analysis

 OFFICE STAFF TEAM & VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS

Invites, recruits and organizes volunteers for a variety of activities which include: 1) HQ staffing for visitors’ reception, phone banking, canvassing, special events, special projects with other committees. KEY ROLES: Visitor Greeting, Information Sharing on Collier Dem activities and information, Special Events Organization, Project Management, Basic Office Systems Management

VOTER PROTECTION TEAM

The Committee works to ensure that Collier County voting processes runs smoothly, and all Democratic voters can easily access their assigned precinct voting locations and have all their votes counted.  It recruits and trains volunteers for Voter Protection activities at voter precinct locations on election days (including early voting). Team members learn about Voter Protection regulations, programs and contingencies from The Collier County SOE with whom they develop and maintain a strong working relationship. KEY ROLES: Poll Greeters, Poll Watchers, and help voters cure mail ballots rejected by the SOE for various technical reasons
