DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MARCH 1ST10 AM to 3 PM \nWe hope this begins a Collier County community discussion to learn what environmental issues affect all of us who live and work here\, and how we can elect leaders who will address our concerns. \nSpace is limited\, however if registration is full\, you will be able to attend virtually.  Lunch will be provided for those attending in person. Agenda for the Day: \nEnjoy coffee and pastries in the morning session when we will hear from you\, from our candidates and our elected officials: \n\nHow are you affected by the consequences of pollution and climate change?\nWhat have candidates learned from voters as they campaigned?\nWhat environmental concerns do citizens raise with our elected officials?\n\nJoin us for lunch\, which will be provided. \nIn the afternoon\, join past and prospective candidates to discuss how we can work together to elect leaders who will tackle the environmental issues that affect us all\, including:  \n – increasingly destructive storms\, – unaffordable or unavailable insurance\, – extreme heat\, – lack of affordable housing\, – poor water quality\, – unchecked development \nLet’s work together as a community to ensure that our elected leadership confronts our environmental challenges.

We are no longer at the Goodlette Road location\, so our meetings will take place in various locations around Collier County. DESCRIPTION:Deb Henry\, Marco Island City Council Member\, will speak on How a Dem Ran for Office and won in SW Florida. \nDeb was a small business owner of a commercial specialty construction company. Her second career is one of service; President of Home and School Association at St. John Catholic High School\, Marco Island Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. She has been employed by the Supervisor of Elections and is on the Board of Directors for Avow Hospice. In 2022\, she was hailed as a “Hurricane Ian Hero” by the Naples Daily News by assisting housing displaced residents.
