In addition\, Preston Moore served as a past Chairs of the Education Committee and of the Canvassing Board Subcommittee of Voter Services. \nDiane received her Bachelor of Science in 1987 and her J.D. in 1996\, both from the College of William & Mary. She practiced in the Washington\, D.C. office of Whiteford\, Taylor & Preston for 5 years. DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MARCH 1ST10 AM to 3 PM \nWe hope this begins a Collier County community discussion to learn what environmental issues affect all of us who live and work here\, and how we can elect leaders who will address our concerns. \nSpace is limited\, however if registration is full\, you will be able to attend virtually.  Lunch will be provided for those attending in person. Agenda for the Day: \nEnjoy coffee and pastries in the morning session when we will hear from you\, from our candidates and our elected officials: \n\nHow are you affected by the consequences of pollution and climate change?\nWhat have candidates learned from voters as they campaigned?\nWhat environmental concerns do citizens raise with our elected officials?\n\nJoin us for lunch\, which will be provided. \nIn the afternoon\, join past and prospective candidates to discuss how we can work together to elect leaders who will tackle the environmental issues that affect us all\, including:  \n – increasingly destructive storms\, – unaffordable or unavailable insurance\, – extreme heat\, – lack of affordable housing\, – poor water quality\, – unchecked development \nLet’s work together as a community to ensure that our elected leadership confronts our environmental challenges.

The decisions made now will determine the fate of this species\, as well as our wetlands\, public lands\, and the Florida Wildlife Corridor. Learn more about the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s efforts and how we can all fight to protect our green spaces and quality of life. \nAmber Crooks is the Senior Environmental Policy Advisor for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida who specializes in wildlife policy and water resource policy. As an advocate with the Conservancy since 2007\, Amber has also worked on oil drilling issues\, environmental lands acquisition\, and permitting review of proposed development\, transportation\, mining\, and other projects within the southwest Florida area. Amber has served as the Chair for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service’s Panther Recovery Implementation Team Transportation Subteam.

It is an opportunity for a successful future with a recidivism rate of 4-5%. \nCivil Citation is one of the most valuable tools available to combat juvenile delinquency. Collier County is one of the leaders in Florida but there is opportunity to expand the program.

DESCRIPTION:We will do a virtual training on the GOTV effort (door-knocking\, canvassing) in the Habitat for Humanity communities\, to include campaigning for Harris and DMP\, going over the sample ballot with the amendments\, giving out literature on Project 2025\, etc. and we will train you how to use the Minivan app. Please note that you must attend training to work the canvassing events in the Habitat communities.
