Sara McFadden, candidate for the Florida House of Representatives in District 106, has received a flood of endorsements.
Stephen Gaskill, president of the LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus, said: “The membership of the LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus has endorsed Sara McFadden in her bid for Florida State Representative / House District 106. We are proud to support Ms. McFadden’s efforts to further the cause of equality for LGBTQ+ Floridians.”
“As an ally in this fight, I am honored by such recognition,” McFadden said. “Citizen Rights for all Floridians have been taken away or threatened, and none more so than the LGBTQ+ community. I’m proud to stand up for equality for all our citizens,.
The Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida has endorsed McFadden for Florida House of Representatives. Of the endorsement, McFadden said:
“I’m proud to accept the Environmental Caucus endorsement and the endorsement of their members and supporters who believe as I do: that Florida’s leaders should stand up for our natural resources, advocate for improvements and protections, and educate the public as to how little is being done to protect our precious and fragile environment. Unfortunately, in four years my opponent has not sponsored one bill to improve any environmental issue. I hope to have that come November 3.”
McFadden has also been given the Women’s March Florida Candidate Distinction.
“Thank you for standing up for the rights of women, families and our Florida communities and committing your campaign to our Mission and Guiding Values,” said Carrie Feit on behalf of her organization.
Women’s March Florida is an independent Florida non-profit 501(c)(4) organization made up of volunteers from across the state, united by a desire to dismantle oppression through advocacy for equity and respect and dignity for all. Their Mission is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.
Florida House District 106 is in coastal Collier County from the border with Lee County to North Naples and south to the City of Naples, East Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City.
