On April 10, 2020, the Collier County Democratic Party will celebrate the centennial of winning women’s right to vote. It’s a fundraising gala and silent auction you won’t want to miss.
Two fabulous speakers will headline the event:
Lilly Ledbetter was the plaintiff in the American employment discrimination case Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Congress passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 in her name. This was the first piece of legislation that President Obama signed. Ms. Ledbetter has since become a women’s equality activist, public speaker, and author. In 2011, Ledbetter was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
Deb Henretta is an American businesswoman. She is a senior adviser for General Assembly, a global education and technology company, as well as SSA & Company, a New York-based management consulting firm. Prior to her current position, she retired in 2015 from a 30-year career at Procter & Gamble, culminating in becoming one of only two top-level women executives for the consumer goods organization. She advised President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton on Asian business affairs.
Tickets to the gala, which will be held at the Naples Hilton, are $175 until Feb. 9, then $200 thereafter. VIP tickets, which include a special cocktail reception, are $250.
