Sara McFadden, candidate for Florida House of Representatives in District 106, has been endorsed by the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates and Action Together Florida.
Planned Parenthood said McFadden is a “strong supporter of reproductive health who will continue to be a dedicated advocate.”
As a leading advocate for Planned Parenthood health centers, FAPPA is a nonpartisan advocacy and political organization engaging in educational and electoral activity, including legislative advocacy, voter education, and grassroots organizing to promote the Planned Parenthood mission.
“I’m proud to be recognized and grateful to accept this important endorsement,” McFadden said. “Women’s reproductive rights are human rights; tampering with our privacy and constitutional rights must stop, and I promise to continue the fight.”
Her district covers all of coastal Collier County from Barefoot Beach to Pelican Bay and the City of Naples, to Marco Island and Everglades City.
For more than a century, Planned Parenthood health centers have provided preventive health care to millions of women, men and young people, earning the nation’s confidence and trust.
- One in five American women has visited a Planned Parenthood affiliate health center in her lifetime.
- Fifty-six percent (56%) of Planned Parenthood health centers are in health professional shortage areas, rural or medically under-served areas, providing primary and preventive health care to many who otherwise would have nowhere to turn for family planning care.
- In Florida, Planned Parenthood has over 820,000 supporters who care about reproductive health issues.
