This year’s  primary election for members of the Collier County School Board could shape the school district for years to come. What kind of schools do we want? Who should lead them?

Meet the candidates who want to lead our public education system at a forum on Tuesday, July 31.

At the same time, this is your chance to say hello to candidates running for state Senate (Democratic nominee Annisa Karim), state House (Democrats Jennifer Boddicker, Sara McFadden, Ross Hancock, and Javier Esteves), County Commission (Gary Petit-Dor), and others.

WHAT: Politics in the Park

WHERE: Naples Conference Center (NABOR) 1455 Pine Ridge Road, Naples

WHEN: July 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

No reservations are necessary. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. there will be a straw ballot to predict the outcome of the August 28 primary election. Results of the straw poll will be released the same night.
