Your vote is critical in the upcoming General Election, so it is important that you give some thought to how you’ll vote based on your personal comfort level during this pandemic and while the US Postal Service is under attack.
Because of these issues, there is clearly more risk associated with voting in-person on Election Day. Good options exist, however, for a fool-proof plan to make sure your voice is heard.
The Collier County Democratic Party recommends that you vote by mail, and do so as early as possible. When you vote by mail, you are safe, your vote is secure, and you can track your ballot online through every step of the process–requested, sent, received and counted.
As you plan on how to vote, here are some steps to consider:
Make sure you are registered to vote by checking your voter registration status.
Request your Vote-By-Mail Ballot now if you haven’t already done so and it will be mailed to you beginning September 24. Request a Vote by Mail Ballot here: Vote by Mail Ballot Request
Watch for your ballot in the mail. When it arrives, fill it in completely, put it inside the security / instruction sleeve and inside the special envelope. Sign the outside of the envelope as you did when you registered to vote. Your drivers’ license may be a good guide.
You may return the ballot by placing a stamp on the envelope and sending it by the US mail. Please do not mail your ballot after October 17 as there may be delays and your ballot may not get to the Supervisor of Elections on time. Instead, use one of the next 3 ways below.
- In person at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 3750 Enterprise Avenue, Naples, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. OR 2335 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- In the special drop box at one of the nine early voting sites beginning October 19 and through October 31. (See list of early voting locations below).
- In the special drop box located at the front entrance of the Supervisor of Elections Office at 3750 Enterprise Avenue, Naples, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once you have returned the ballot, you should check the status here: Track my Vote By Mail Ballot
If you do not return the ballot before October 17, you may vote in person during Early Voting or on Election Day. You may bring the ballot and surrender it at the Polling location or destroy it yourself. Do not attempt to vote if you have returned your vote by mail ballot.
If you have any questions about or issues with this process, or need any help voting, please call our headquarters at 239-434-7754 and leave a message for the Voter Protection Team.

Collier County Provides for ADA-Compliant Voting
The ExpressVote is a touchscreen device that provides voting directions in both English and Spanish. The device also has audio capabilities and an accessible keypad equipped with Braille and tactile navigation buttons, and the ability to use rocker panel and sip-and-puff tools.
ADA-compliant ballot marking devices produce a paper ballot which can then be scanned and tabulated through the standard optical scan voting device.
These devices are available at every Early Voting and Election Day location.
