The Democratic Party’s presence in this year’s Downtown Naples Fourth of July parade was HUGE!
For the first time in decades, voters will see Democrats on the ballots in all major statewide races in Collier County, and the candidates were out in force for this year’s Independence Day celebration.
Candidates rode in convertibles and pickup trucks flanked by dozens of supporters and representatives from aligned organizations.
Showing their colors were congressional candidates Todd Truax, Mary Barzee Flores, and David Holden. For state Senate, Annisa Karim. For state Representative, Jennifer Boddicker, Sara McFadden and Javier Estevez. And for county commission, Gary Petit-Dor.
Hundreds of people lined the parade route–up Third Street to Fifth Avenue South to Eighth Street on a beautiful blue-sky morning–carrying signs and flags and good cheer.
This is the largest presence in the Fourth of July parade the Democrats have had in years. The Blue Wave is coming. And it starts here.
